HOMESallie Harrington - Associate Solicitor
Sallie was admitted to practice as a solicitor in Australia in 2000 and worked in private practice undertaking criminal and family work. Sallie came to live in the UK in 2002. She worked in-house for local authorities in child protection and community care on a temporary basis before joining Creighton & Partners in November 2003. Sallie qualified as a solicitor in England in July 2004. She specialises exclusively in community care work and is head of the firm's Community Care team. She continues to advise public authorities in relation to children and families, people from abroad and vulnerable adults. This encompasses a broad spectrum of public law including data protection, charging for care services, mental health, mental capacity, disability and child law. In addition to providing advice, Sallie delivers training on community care law.
Sallie has lived in Japan for a time and travelled extensively prior to coming to live in the UK.
