Chuma Oraedu - Assistant Solicitor

I have been working within Mental Health Law for over 8 years and I am Mental Health Panel Accredited.

I chose Mental Health Law as I wanted to practice in an area of law which would allowed me to have a hands on approach with assisting vulnerable people. I have vast experience in working with civil and criminally detained patients as well as patients who have been placed on conditional discharges and community treatment orders.

Client care is important to me and therefore I am very much dedicated to achieving realistic outcomes for my clients whether that be via Care Plan Approach meetings, Hospital Manager Hearings or Mental Health Tribunals.

There's is nothing more rewarding than representing a vulnerable patient's legal rights and knowing that you have served them effectively in safeguarding their liberty.
