Manveen Padda - Assistant Solicitor
Manveen qualified as a solicitor in 2004 and joined Creighton & Partners in November 2015. Manveen is a member of the Law Society’s Advance Family Law Panel with modules including Ancillary Relief, Private Law children and Domestic Violence in the Home.
Manveen’s areas of specialism includes divorce and financial issues arising from the breakdown of a marriage/relationship as well as arrangements for children between separating parents. Manveen has acted for many High Net Worth individuals achieving favourable outcomes for them. Manveen’s ancillary relief work has required her to deal with complex financial relationships between partners including business assets, Trusts, Pensions, SIPP’s and assets in various jurisdictions. Manveen is keen to ensure that no assets are disposed of before, during or after proceedings and has a complete working knowledge of s37 Matrimonial Causes Act to set aside or apply for an Injunction preventing disposal of assets. Manveen has dealt with many cohabitation cases and has a reported cohabitation case whereby she successfully defended an appeal and set a new precedent. Manveen has also dealt with appeals in Ancillary relief cases involving lump sum and spousal maintenance orders.
Manveen undertakes most of her own advocacy at court. Manveen is a staunch supporter of parental rights and balances this with the fact that children are the court’s paramount consideration in private law proceedings. Manveen is fully versed with the operation and implementation of s8 of the Children Act 1989. Manveen also deals with domestic violence matters under the Family Law Act.
Manveen is a confident communicator at all levels and a highly organized, enthusiastic and motivated individual. Manveen has been a volunteer with Rights of Women since she qualified in 2004. She regularly attends networking events to develop new business relationships and general marketing.
