Dawn qualified as a solicitor in 1996. She worked in private practice specialising in family law in the North East of England and London before joining the firm in March 2000 and specialising in children proceedings.

Dawn has extensive experience in public law care proceedings having represented children, Guardians, Local Authorities and parents in care and adoption proceedings. Dawn is also a Higher Rights Advocate (Civil) and regularly represented her clients at court.

Dawn is a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel and the Association of Lawyers for Children. Dawn is also a member of Resolution’s Legal Aid Committee.

Dawn has taken a step back from case work and is now responsible for all aspects of the Practice Management of the firm. She does however continue to assist clients in her specialist area of adoption.

In her spare time Dawn enjoys archaeology and astronomy.
