Parents and other family members
Care proceedings can be a particularly stressful time for families. At Creighton & Partners we have extensive experience representing parents and wider family members who may be involved in the care of the children.
When social services become involved with a family, parents often find themselves asking why. Local Authorities have a legal duty to investigate reports or concerns about a child who may be suffering harm. Should these concerns be serious enough, the Local Authority can apply to the Courts for a range of orders. The Local Authority can seek an order to share parental responsibility for a child(ren) and in some cases, seek to remove a child from the care of its family.Contact us for further information
